If you are looking for the best destination wedding venues in Puerto Rico, look no further than Hacienda222.

One of the most iconic images of Puerto Rico is Castillo San Cristobal’s turrets that overlook the bay of San Juan

We legally marry and register the destination weddings of more couples than all other wedding companies and officiants on this island.

Act like the locals, get out of the big city, and enjoy west Puerto Rico, home to the island’s most beautiful beaches and friendliest locals.

FAQS

Our ceremonies are usually conducted in English, always by a native English speaker. English is an official language of Puerto Rico. We have bi-lingual officiants who can conduct your ceremony in Spanish upon request.

We make the legal process very simple and straightforward with our “let us take care of everything” legal and documentation support, but, sure, we understand. You can have a symbolic ceremony instead of a legal ceremony, where you’re legally married elsewhere. Your symbolic ceremony will look and feel exactly like a legal ceremony (some couples even prefer that their guests not know, which isn’t a problem) only without the paperwork and signatures afterwards.

No. The majority of our couples we meet in person for the first time on their wedding day.

Sure! We’re happy to help with ideas or suggestions, or we’re happy to use classic yet updated vows as well.

Our ceremonies are customized based on our couples’ wishes, but generally last 12-15 minutes.

No. Our “Let us take care of everything” legal and documentation support includes signatures from any necessary witnesses (often your photographer and videographer).

We meet all our brides and grooms before the start of the ceremony to instruct the wedding party and all other participants on what they need to know. Therefore, a rehearsal with us present is not necessary; however, a rehearsal does allow us to meet the parents and wedding party and help them get over any jitters they may have about the wedding. We bring organization and direction to the rehearsal, as well as some humor to make it a good time, and we work hard to make sure it is completed in an hour. We offer rehearsal dinner packages and options at www.hacienda222.com.

It’s easy to look up sunset times at http://www.timeanddate.com/sun/puerto-rico/san-juan. That said, it’s important to start your ceremony at least an hour before sunset to ensure plenty of time for great photos afterwards. The best colors in the sky are not at actual sunset when it’s actually too dark for beautiful photos. You can read more here about the best time of day to be married in Puerto Rico (link to https://prdestinationweddings.com/best-time-to-get-married-in-puerto-rico/)

We offer weddings with guests at Castillo de San Cristobal (link to that location page). Elopements with no guests are possible at El Morro, or on our Old San Juan safari (link to those locations). Our closest beach locations to San Juan are Puerto Hermina in Quebradillas and Guajataca Tunnel in Isabela.

We provide an hour’s professional photography time and full release of all images afterwards, online. You’ll get a beautiful high-res curated album, delivered digitally within ten days of your wedding day, to use exactly how you’d like. We’ll also send you a capsule collection of web-ready images to share with loved ones, delivered digitally within 72 hours of your wedding day. Additional photography time is available for an additional cost.

Your choice! Our standard packages include an hour’s photography time. For instance, if you’d like to do a ‘first look’ beforehand, and then the 10-15 minute ceremony, and then 30 minutes or so afterwards, you’d have lots of great and different images.

Sure! We’ve put together weddings on as little as 24 hours’ notice. One week is plenty of time. If we can make it work, we will!

As part of our “Let us take care of everything” marriage certificate support, we’ll apply for and obtain your marriage certificate for you, and we’ll mail it to your home address within one month of your wedding.

Sorry, no, we can’t, because there are no beautiful beaches in and around the busy city metro area of San Juan. Just kidding, kind of. The beaches are generally crowded and noisy with reggaeton music blaring, and feature high-rise condominiums or hotels in the background, instead of Puerto Rico’s natural beauty. Puerto Hermina or The Guajataca Tunnel are both only an hour and twenty minutes from San Juan. Even if you choose not to stay nearby on the stunning west side of Puerto Rico, home to the island’s most beautiful beaches and friendliest locations, it’s an easy day trip. Ask about our limo if you don’t want to drive!

The day of your wedding, we’ll closely watch the radar and if it looks like there as if there is a rain cell or storm cell
(generally they are short and quick) that we need to plan around and/or wait out, we’ll do so. Leave the Plan B’s to us, but if you’re worried and want 100% assurance that there will be no delays and no one will get wet, definitely look at www.hacienda222.com where there are shelter and tent options.

Your deposit is non-refundable, as, once paid, we have to turn away all other inquiries for that date and time. However, your deposit is fully transferable to another date (pending availability), or even another package. For instance, if you’d like
to change to a later date, we can work with you on that. We’ve even had clients apply their deposit for a vow renewal package in the future.

Sure! We understand that for destination weddings, sometimes it’s difficult to determine a headcount until closer to the date when travel plans have been finalized. We are flexible and can make adjustments to the number of people, including chairs and food & drink if you are having a dinner and reception, up to thirty days before your wedding when your final balance is due. Your team lead will be in regular contact with you throughout the planning process for all such changes and modifications.

There are several hotels, but we generally recommend AirBnB or VRBO options (search in the towns of Isabela, Aguadilla, and Quebradillas). Your budget will go much further, it’s a great way to interact with friendly locals (most will speak English), and you have the opportunity to see the real Puerto Rico and sample our local restaurants and cuisine. We have a rental property in our Hacienda222; ask us for more details!

The Way to Go

The Way to Go

If you’re looking to get married in Puerto Rico, PR Destinations is the way to go. From the very beginning, they were very good at communicating and making sure you got all the information that you needed. I had so many questions and they never hesitated at answering them. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect elopement. A big thank you to everyone who was involved in our big day!!
