We’re sometimes asked how much lead time is needed for a Puerto Rico elopement. Well, Kimberly and James decided only three days beforehand that it was time to get married, and that they wanted to elope in Puerto Rico that very weekend. They confirmed everything with us on a Thursday, applied for and received their marriage certificate in Old San Juan on Friday afternoon upon arrival, and were married on Saturday. With our well-proven system helping with paperwork requirements to get married in Puerto Rico, it was easy and stressfree. We were happy to help!
Like many of the couples with whom we work here at Puerto Rico Destination Weddings, they wanted a Puerto Rico elopement that was legal, easy, beautiful and intimate.

Framed by dramatic rocks, crashing waves, and reflective pools, this deserted beach is simply perfect for a Puerto Rico elopement.
We love this location as it also has a special bonus – coco frio (coconut water) served fresh by hard-working Jose the Coconut man. A local legend, he climbs the surrounding palm trees to harvest each and every coconut, nourishing locals and tourists alike every weekend from his beautiful 1972 Ford truck. He was happy to help Kimberly and James enjoy a unique treat – and photo opp – for their Puerto Rico elopement.

-full legal and documentation support, including checklists of exactly what you need to prepare and when
-a customized ceremony in keeping with exactly what you want your wedding experience to be
-registration of your marriage afterwards at the appropriate government office (you need not accompany us)
-one hour’s professional photography time with full release of all photos afterwards within one week
-two witnesses
They also chose to include our videography option, including drone footage. Delivered within two weeks, their resulting video allowed them to share the wonderful experience they had for their Puerto Rico elopement with loved ones back home.
